Shay

Gavin does eventually lose Xtina & Kira to seek Shay out. Once they get out on the dancefloor it's just them, and Shay forces herself to just forget about the others for the moment.

Sometimes, when she's with Gavin & he's actually paying attention to her, Shay feels like the most important person in the world.

Astrid is a relentless pain in the ass, Shay can't wait for her part in this film to be over, so she no longer has to work with her.

As much as Shay loves Gavin's romantic attention, she hates when he kisses her at work. It's like a reminder of how she landed this job.

Today is particularly special for Shay: model/actress Jade has a small part in this movie, and Shay has often fantasized about making clothes for her. The opportunity to meet her, measure her & design her costume is a dream come true, and Shay is going to make the most of it by trying to show Jade some of her dress designs during the fitting. Shay couldn't be happier when Alison calls for an end to the break, soon she will be alone with the beautiful model.

Before she follows Jade to the fitting area, Shay attempts to have just a moment with Gavin while he crew slowly resumes their places. But Astrid moves in quickly, putting his arms around him & talking to him like a lover, "You've been doing such a great job, Gavin, I'm so proud of you." Gavin's arms come around Astrid's waist & his eyes get that look, Shay has seen it a thousand times, but this is the first time she's seen it directed towards another.

Then Astrid kisses him, right in front of her. And Gavin does nothing to stop all this, like he's forgotten Shay was even there. Astrid walks off, Gavin watching her like he's watching his lover walk away. That look disappears when he turns to Shay: now he just looks sheepish & runs off as soon Alison calls for everyone to get back on set now, without a word.
