Nico runs into the Mary at the Marrakesh Lounge. It's a celebrity hangout, he shouldn't be surprised to see her. He tells himself he's going to have to get used to this.

"Nicolas!" she purrs in greeting, pronouncing his name correctly, "I was just thinking about you," she says as she gives him a polite kiss. She was thinking about him!

Her films have taken her around the world, she's been to so many exotic places & has interesting stories about every one of them. "But you know, I still have never been to Italy," she says with a laugh, "Isn't that silly? You'd think I would have gone on my own, but with all the travel I do for my roles, when I'm not working I usually stay home. And now this movie is being shot right here in L.A., so I only get to see Hollywood Italy," she jokes.

Relaxed for just a moment, when Nico notices the paparazzo wandering around the bar, he's snapped back to reality. The last thing Jackie needs to see is a picture of him with Mary. Even though he hasn't done anything more than talk to her over drinks, Nico feels very guilty about what he's doing.

Mary gets bothered for an autograph: she's very gracious about it, listening to the fan go on about her favorite scenes in several of Mary's films.

When the fan is finally done, Mary turns back to Nico with a devastaing smile. "You are just adorable," she says, her accent very, very well done. She's known for it. And she reaches her arms out to embrace him.

"Please, there's paparazzo right there," Nico says as he stops her before she can get her arms around him.

"Are you afraid being seen with an older woman like me will ruin your image?" Mary asks sarcastically, her green eyes laughing. Already this has gone too far, Nico thinks, the way she talks to him, it's like they've already slept together. "No, Mary, I have a girlfriend, a pregnant girlfriend," he admits, knowing that will kill her interest in him completely. It breaks his heart, even though it shouldn't. "How quaint," she laughs, "Is she back in Italy?" Nicolas sighs, "No, she's in Malibu, we're in Malibu, she's the singer in our band..." Mary raises an eyebrow, "You're the one they've been talking about, you've got another girl knocked up as well?" He should probably just walk away from this now, while he has a chance. But as long as she's talking to him, Nicolas can't remove himself. "No, the other baby isn't mine," he explains, and tells her how it is. "Interesting," Mary says with a laugh, "I wish you luck, Nicolas, and perhaps we'll meet again," she says, touching his hand lightly as she takes her leave. Relieved that temptation has removed itself for the moment, he is caught between dreading & hoping for his next encounter with Mary.
