Astrid has done a little research: her part in this movie is small, but her character is a favorite amongst the fans of the graphic series. There's been a lot of buzz generated around her role in the comic fandom world, not exactly the kind of fame she was looking for, but the kind of thing that could turn her into a cult icon. And that's the kind ofthing that guarantees a more important role in the sequel.

Byron has completely disappeared from the set, leaving them completely under Alison's direction.

This is her last scene with Gavin in this movie, and she only has one other, a scene likely to end up on the cutting room floor, part of a sequence extraneous to the main story. Astrid is tempted to screw up her lines to prolong the time she has with him, but she just couldn't do that. Destroying him is secondary to her quest for stardom. "I know. You went to Hell, and you found Lucifer had turned everyone out. And he gave you Hell. The most desirable plot of psychic real estate in the whole order of created things, and now it's all yours," Astrid speaks her lines perfectly. She really loves her character.

Making peace with Gavin has improved his performance, he is much more at ease with her. It's too bad their characters are siblings: they have the kind of chemistry that makes a great screen romance.

"You're doing a really great job, Gavin," Astrid says after Alison calls for a break, actually sincere in the compliment. And it gives her the points with him she was looking for.
