So Alison offers to buy her a drink. Alice tells her she moved to L.A. with a girlfriend who was an aspiring actress. Just as Alison is wondering whether 'girlfriend' is meant in the 'intimate' sense, Alice tells her about the break up. "But I figured I might as well stay here, since I didn't have anywhere else to go." She's cute & available, Alison thinks. Too bad I have a girlfriend, she reminds herself.

Alison tells Alice about Kelly. Maybe that's stupid...but maybe it will stop Alison before she gets herself in trouble.

Alice drops the girlfriend topic & asks Alison about her job. So they have a few beers, and Alison tells Alice all about working for Byron, and all the weird shit that's been happening lately. "Now I can't even hang out at my own place; my girlfriend has her study group there, pulling an all-nighter." "Well, you can hang out at my place," Alice offers.
