A new girl has moved into Coby's old room, Rebecca. It's completely irrational, Xtina knows it, but her first thought on seeing this new girl is that she going to try to steal her man. Xtina feels like an animal when a rival has entered it's territory, she has an innate urge to go on the attack. But Becca approaches in friendship, she just moved in yesterday & has already found the Psychedelic Purr club. She heading out there again tonight, does Xtina want to come along?

Xtina was actually heading out that way herself tonight. Rainier is, as usual, working late & may not be home until after the clubs are closed, so Xtina had nothing else to do, anyway. She shrugs off her instinctual reaction to the new girl and accepts the offer: after all Rainier is so busy all the time, how could he possibly have time to have another relationship?

Of course Xtina & Rebecca share a lot in common, tastes in music, movies, art & literature.

Rebecca is smart like Eleanor, but ten or twenty times cooler. Obviously, they should be great fiends right away. But it's more competition than Xtina is usually comfortable with. Eleanor might be smarter & filthy rich, too, but the guys always want to talk to Xtina...it wouldn't be so easy to be the center of attraction, hanging out with Rebecca.

"Let's go get a drink or something," Xtina says. Bubbles are great, but everyone is at the bar, Xtina wants to get out & party, not sit in the corner all night.

It's weird, but Rebecca reminds Xtina a little of Coby. That's stupid, Xtina thinks, you just miss him & you're making up excuses to think about him. Just because bubbles make her giggle doesn't make her like Coby....
