Rebecca is looking forward to seeing Venice Beach again, she used to hang out there all the time.

Xtina doesn't have a very good opinion of the beaches here in SoCal.

Rebecca can't help but wax a little nostalgiac for the beach she remembers. Maybe it has changed & become a tourist mall, but once, it was cool, Rebecca remembers, she & Heather used to hang out with the surfers, go to the free concerts on Santa Monica pier...

Xtina then tells her about her 'boyfriend' Rainier. The poor girl is delusional if she thinks he's exclusive to her. Rebecca immediately throws aside any idea of engaging with him: no man would be worth the cat fight with this girl. She can easily find another just as good who comes without an angry sidekick.

Rebecca does feel the need to give a small hint to Xtina about Rainier: she won't say he looked at Rebecca herself, and thus incur the girl's wrath, but she does say she recognizes his type. Of course it doesn't go over well: that kind of friendly advice is never received kindly. Whatever, Rebecca doesn't really want to get too friendly with this girl, anyway.
