Nico continues to warn his brother about Debbie, "I just think you should be careful, Andrea," he says, "Girls like her aren't any good. I don't want to see her break your heart."

"What do you mean 'girls like her'? You don't even know Debbie: she's a nice girl," Andrea says.

"Andrea, the girls here aren't like they are at home. Not just Debbie, everyone in the whole industry is just out for themselves. You can't trust anyone," Nico insists. Andrea listens, and then speaks with voice far more bitter than Nico has ever heard from his brother, "Are you including yourself in that judgment? Because it seems to me you might as well be talking about yourself. Don't tell me how to conduct myself when you can't behave properly yourself."

Andrea was always idealistic & Nicolas was always told he had to set a good example for his younger brother: he was never going to be able to live up to the younger man's expectations, and it was incredibly easy to disappoint him. Nico was able to talk him into not revealing to Jackie the little he knows about Mary, but he's never going to be able live it down: in his brother's eyes, he will always be a cheater & a liar. It's not the kind of thing you think of when you start an affair, but it's the kind of thing that haunts you after, everything you should have thought of before you let yourself go.
