He's lucky enough to arrive in time to be with Jackie when Trillare was born. It still weighs on his conscience, that he was with Mary while she was going into labor. After carrying it around for a few weeks, he's gotten used to the weight. It doesn't affect his behavior at all: he loves his new daughter, she's the joy of existence. And he loves Jackie, with all his heart. He just has this thing, on the side.

And now that their daughter is born, Jackie has finally started making wedding plans. "My ass is as big as Dallas," Jackie sighs heavily, "I want to get a personal trainer and lose some weight before I start trying on gowns." She's said 'yes' and then pulled back so many times, Nico fears this, too, is another way of avoiding their marriage. But he's seen the way she's been looking at herself in the mirror this last week, and knows it's real.

He tells her he loves her ass, and that is no lie, he thinks she looks better than ever. But she says Bill told her she looks like cow, which pisses Nico off. Stupid Bill is always sticking himself in their business. "Bill is an asshole, don't listen to him, Jackie. You can have as many personal trainers as you want, if that's what you want to do. But I think you're beautiful, I love the way you look," he says softly, kissing her neck.

He knows he's not doing a very good job at this, cheating on her while they're planning their wedding, but he is good at what he does do right, making his woman feel good when he's around.
