Nico got a call from one of his older brothers, there was some kind of problem back home & they were sending the youngest brother, Andrea, to stay here for awhile. It came up all of a sudden, and Nicolas had to rush out for more video shooting, giving Jackie Andrea's flight information so she can send a car for him, but no explanation of why the young man had to be sent as far away from home as L.A.. Jackie's has only realized how estranged she is from her own family after having a baby & still not contacting them. Nor have they tried to contact her...which seems to be for the best. But how odd it is to suddenly discover Nicolas has a real, living family of his own, who are her family now, and can just invite themselves into her home...

Jackie greets Andrea at the door when the car brings him in: she's started to wonder what Nico's parents look like, since they produce such beautiful offspring. The more Trill takes after her father, she thinks, the happier she'll be.

"It's so good to finally meet you, my sister," Andrea says as he pulls her into an unexpected hug. He was just talking about his flight and the terrible food, and suddenly his strong warm arms are around her, his voice, deep & mellow murmuring near her ear, just like Nico's with a more pronounced accent, even his rich, masculine scent, it's like being in Nico's embrace...she so wishes Bill would give her man some time to be at home with her....

It must be a family thing, this predisposition to nurture, Jackie thinks as she watches the young man scoop up his niece with tender care & sing a sweet little tune for her. Jackie has never seen men behave this way her whole life.

When Nico said 'younger' brother, she didn't realize how close they are in age: Andrea is just over a year younger than Nico, and while he rocks Trill gently, he tells Jackie the childhood stories Nico never talks about, about the dog the two brothers shared, about the house they grew up in, the places & people he only recently left behind. Nico was vague about what happened at home that the family had to send the young man here, and while Andrea is very open about details of their childhood, he hasn't spoken at all about more recent events.

Well, if she's going to have in-laws staying at her house, an attractive younger brother-in-law who loves babies is not a bad deal.

When Nico comes home, the two brothers greet each other with hugs & smiles, but are engaged in a heated argument seconds afterwards. They speak in Italian, Jackie has no idea what they're talking about, she doesn't speak their language.
