He has to get up early tomorrow for a photo shoot for a magazine, he shouldn't be out late, but he takes Shay out anyway. "Now that you're getting in the magazines, you're not going to have to crash celebrity parties anymore, Gavin, you'll be invited to them," Shay says cheerfully. It's been too long since Gavin last crashed a party, another of his favorite activities that Shay doesn't enjoy. And she's right, accepting this role in a major movie like this will mean he will be required to attend the kinds of parties he used to crash. That will take all the fun out of it.

Gavin sees Xtina in the bubble lounge, alone it seems. "Where's your boyfriend?" he asks, "Or are you back with the surfer now?"

"I'm not with Coby," Xtina responds with a pout, "I'm here by myself." Gavin suddenly realizes it was around this time last year that she broke up wth him, it was just one year ago he thought he could not go on without her. They had such a great thing going, she would pose for him all the time, crash parties with him, join in his performance pieces when he needed an assistant, until she suddenly said she'd had enough.

He knows it bothers Shay, that he's friendly with his ex-girlfriends. But he can't just stop being their friends just to please her.

Kira isn't an ex-girlfriend, just his neighbor, and she works for the photographer he's going to be posing for tomorrow. Gavin asks her a few questions about what to expect from the shoot.

When Kira walks off, Xtina presses him about his movie, "When is it going to be out, Gavin? I want to see it already!" Gavin explains how long of a process film making is, while Xtina stamps petulantly. "Fine," she sighs, and then laughs, "You are so lucky I've already slept with you, Gavin. I've been dying for someone to make a Sandman movie since I was 15, and you are so perfect for the part I would have ended up stalking you if I hadn't already been with you."
