When Xtina gets home from Gavin's place, she falls immediately into bed & sleeps late into the afternoon. When she wakes up, she hangs out for awhile in her building's lounge area, reading & waiting for Gavin to inevitably call & ask her why she she took off on him last night. But it gets later & later & Gavin doesn't call at all.

As she heads out to the corner store to buy some drinking water, she finds some black roses in front of her building. They must be from Gavin! Black roses are so like him...

But the crackhead freak who's been following her neighbor Nico around lately jumps out from behind the fence as she scoops up the flowers. "No!" he cries, "OOO!!Those are for HIM!!!! EEEEE!!!" Xtina has already had enough of this guy hassling her & everyone else in this building, but now he's really crossed her line. Her eyes stinging with tears for having believed the roses were from Gavin, she smacks the crackhead on the face & screams at him "I thought I told you to get the HELL off our YARD!!!!" Too upset now to complete her errand, Xtina heads upstairs to yell at Nico, though it isn't really his fault the nutjob downstairs is obsessed with him. But Nico isn't in his room & the jerk building manager has put a 'pay or get out' notice on his door. With Coby also out of town, the building is unnaturally quiet. Xtina just heads back to her room & hides her head under her pillow, telling herself that tomorrow, Gavin will call her again.

Xtina hangs around her building all day the next day, too & still no word from Gavin. Finally, she decides to call Eleanor, one of their mutual friends...Eleanor lives in the house behind Gavin's & can report to Xtina on what he's doing. She tells Eleanor about her fight with Gavin & that, not having heard from him since, he might have done something drastic. He does have a tendency to be overdramatic. So Eleanor agrees to go over & check on Gavin & call Xtina back. Hours pass while Xtina waits: Eleanor finally does call & her voice drips acid into Xtina's ear. "Gavin says he's just fine & you can call his house next time you want to know. He says that since you broke up with him, you really shouldn't expect him to call you everyday anymore. And, Xtina, I ended up having Justin hanging on me all evening because you sent me over there. Don't ask me to do it again." Xtina is nearly in tears as Eleanor hangs up on her. She said over & over that she meant it when she broke up with Gavin, but since he never let her go, she never knew exactly how much she needs him. But Xtina is far to stubborn to admit to herself yet & she doesn't call him.
