Christmas day arrives at last & Ulises is overjoyed to watch Amber open all her gifts. Heather squeezes his hand & tells him her gift is to share this with him, and he is so touched he annot even reply, except to squeeze her hand in return.

He is also very touched by Amber's very sincere thank you hug. "I love you," she says to him.

After Amber leaves with her father to visit her grandparents, Ulises gets Heather to himself & he has a little suprise for her. He bought a huge stack of cds to leave in her house, so, not technically a 'gift'. With their shared musical tastes, it was easy for him to choose music that she would love. And it worked, her smile lights up brighter than her tree, and they dance for hours.

The dancing leads to kissing, very naturally. Ulises has no doubts, Heather is his girl & he'll never want any other. He considers asking her to marry him right here, under her Christmas tree. But he doesn't have a ring for her, and he hasn't planned it out yet, so he decides to wait & plan something grand & romantic, rather than just popping it out spontaneously. As he carries her off to bed, he starts imagining a New Years suprise for Heather that will sweep her off her feet.
