Ulises meets Salome at Psyche Delia's as planned. She tells him right away that he looks like he works out too much.

Salome talks a lot about herself, who & what she doesn't like. She talks a lot, but says nothing about drugs.

He takes Salome to dinner & she tells him how much she hates skiing. Over the meal, Ulises learns that Salome dislikes a wide variety of topics. But she never mentions narcotics in any context.

She really hates long guitar solos, they're so boring. If Ulises were really romantically inclined towards this woman, he would be in hell right now. But because this is work, it's just a kind of purgatory. He can't imagine now what resemblence he thought Salome bore to Heather when he first met her, because they are worlds apart. Finally, he tries leading the conversation towards drugs, but she shuts him down with a 'users are losers' speech. Either she is very suspicious of him, or he is just barking up the wrong tree with her.

He tries taking another tack: he tells her he thinks the DJ sells pot.

He gets the same 'users are losers' speech. This obviously got him nowhere & he has no more use for Salome. He will have to start scoping Hollywood out for another 'hippie chick', and get some better information from his informants.

He wants to get away ASAP, but Salome wants a hug. Why? he thinks. It can't have been any more fun for her than it was for him. He wonders if it's too late to call Heather: he just wants to hear her voice.
