Uh oh. He doesn't need to call Heather: she saw him with Salome & she wants an explanation.

"You said you had to work tonight" she says. "I was," he answers, kind of vaguely. "I stopped by here after."

Heather's just about in tears. "Well who was that girl?" she wants to know. Ulises does mean to tell Heather about his job, but coming out from undercover while he actually is undercover would be wrong. "She's nobody, Heather" he promises her, "You are absolutely the only girl I even think about."

"Let me take you on a trip, Heather" he suggests, trying to change the topic "to Cancun or somewhere away from the city."

"Can we go camping?" she asks. "Anything you want," he answers.

She kisses him goodbye, but she still looks kind of sad. Ulises knows he's hurt her feelings & she's not really convinced Salome is 'nobody'. His answer was pretty crappy, he knows. When he takes her out of town, camping or whatever she wants, he'll tell her everything & hopefully she will not react too badly to his being a cop. It is certainly better than what she must think is going on. "I'll see you tomorrow" she says as she leaves. She says it in a voice that tells him she doesn't actually believe he'll show...it breaks his heart.
