Shay

Astrid storms in then, her eyes tearing & messing up her make up, her mouth twisted in anger. "You! My one important scene in this whole freaking movie, and YOU turn it into some dramafest about yourself! You should have gotten over it a long time ago, it should not be coming back to haunt me now!" Shay watches in stunned amazement as Astrid tears into him. They must have had a hell of a relationship.

"I'm over you, Astrid, I'm just not over how much I hate you," Gavin argues back at her. It's not healthy, Shay thinks, for him to still be so emotional about Astrid.

But Astrid clearly has her own issues as well. "Boohoo," she pretends to cry, and calls Gavin pathetic. Having ex-girlfriends around making trouble is never a good thing, but Shay is willing to take some chances for Gavin. She's starting to learn he's not the piece of perfection she had thought, but she hasn't heard anything yet to make her fall out of love.

Then Astrid turns a sweet smile on Shay & hugs her like they were best friends, "Let's hang out again real soon," she purrs, "I'm sure we have so much to talk about, I'll give you a call," she says, and then grabs Chloe to get her make up fixed. They have to redo this scene, poor Gavin, Shay realizes, is messed up from having to deal with a psychotic ex-girlfriend on set.

Shay puts a comforting arm around him. "Are you going to make it through this okay?" Shay asks him. "Byron said you could have her fired," she suggests. Gavin shakes his head & laughs. "Maybe I am overdramatic," he laughs. "But you have great style & you carry it off so well," Shay says, laughing with him. She can see him, on the big screen, on the covers of magazines. And it's coming soon, she thinks. If he can't handle Astrid, how is he going to handle that? He's going to need help.

Shay reminds him of the Beverly Hills party they crashed, how he told her to pretend to belong there & she'd fit right in. "You can do this," she encourages him, smiling. Shay feels an urge to flee this complicated situation, the man clearly has issues with his ex-girlfriend, and it all spells trouble. But she'd miss Gavin a lot if she walked out now. And he's putting himself through this for her, she needs to at least try to fix him. Alison calls down to them, tells them Byron wants Gavin back on set in 2 minutes. Shay smiles up at him, adjusting the collar on the costume she made, which looks so incredible on him. "You know you can do this. Just forget about her...think about me. You're doing all this for me, right? So don't let her get involved & we'll be all right..."

They call down for him again: it's time to reshoot the scene. Gavin kisses her passionately before he goes back up to the set. Shay prays he makes it through.
