This is her first time on a movie set & Shay is understandably nervous & excited. Chloe laughs & tells her that after awhile it's no big thing, you get used to being around stars.

Shay hasn't read the script, but she doesn't think Gavin is supposed to kiss Astrid. So it's a big shock when Gavin moves in to kiss her & she slaps him on the face. "Gavin, you ass," she yells at him, "I'm playing a part here. This isn't about us, there was never an 'us' for it to be about. The whole time I was with you, I was screwing her too," she gestures at Alison. Well, what the hell is all this about?

Shay instinctively goes to find out what is up here, but she has to wait for the director to have his say first. Her love life is nothing compared to his picture. Byron lectures Gavin about getting his personal life mixed up in the character & tells him he'll fire Astrid if Gavin can't work with her. Ouch, Shay thinks, watching Astrid wince as she hears it. This is a tough business, she thinks. But Gavin doesn't ask to have Astrid canned, and Byron calls for a break.

Shay follows Gavin down to the dressing room. She's angry at him for trying to kiss Astrid like that, but he looks so wretched & confused, it brings up all her affection for him & she wants to make him feel better. "Gavin, what's going on with you?" she asks him, caressing his arm. "You didn't tell me about Astrid: she told me herself, yesterday. Why did you try to kiss her, Gavin?" He just collapses in on himself & groans, "This whole thing has me so messed up. I don't know what I'm doing...She crushed me, Shay." He used pretty much the same words about his other ex-girlfriend, when she'd just met him. He's got kind of a pattern, she decides, and he's overdramatic.

She puts her arm around him & massages his back. "We've all been there, baby, you need to be a little less sensitive," she whispers to him.
