Shay

"Have you read this script yet, Shay?" Gavin asks. Shay shakes her head, "Alison gave me some pages from the comic book the story is from, to see how the costumes should look, but I haven't even seen the script.." Gavin doesn't say anything for a moment, then he continues, "I've read it now. This isn't going to be easy for me..." he says, in a very small & quiet voice.

It's a bit suprising, coming from the man who showed her how to 'radiate' for the camera & who crashes fancy Beverly Hills celebrity parties for fun. "Gavin, you'll be great in this film. You're the best looking guy I ever seen, even in movies, and you're not shy, I don't see what the problem is," she says.

Gavin moves in closer & puts his arms around her. "It's my character," he says, "I've never acted, Shay. But I've, uh, known actors & they really have to get into their characters. I don't want to get into this 'Dream' guy...it's very dark." Shay doesn't really know what to say to that: she hasn't read the script. After a few minutes of silence, Gavin starts kissing her neck, sliding his hand into her shirt. "Gavin," she sighs, pushing his hand away, "I'm just really tired tonight, okay? Can we do this some other night?"

He gets up & paces around the room, "I'm doing this all for you Shay, and now you want me to leave?" he asks. Shay gets up wearily & runs her hand through his hair, "You don't have to leave, Gavin, I want you to stay. I'm just too tired to make love right now is all. I'm sure, once I've had some sleep, in the morning," and she puts all her remaining energy into a suggestive smile, "You know you like it best in the morning, anyway."

After one long & passionate kiss, they head up to her bed, to sleep. "Thank you, Gavin," she whispers before she falls asleep, "For everything."
