Serena gets to the set, where Alison is watching the actors rehearse. She sends them on a break & turns to Serena. "Byron hasn't shown yet," she says, looking very worried, "I've been killing time here with the actors, waiting for him. But he's never late for this stuff, let alone blows it off completely."

Serena asks Alison to accompany her out to the yard of the house where these scenes are being shot. This was the place Byron saw when he summoned her into his dream. And this was the place where her dream of Larna Lock occurred. Just looking at the place in real life spooks her, walking through it makes shiver go up her spine. Serena feels drawn to the edge of the pond, and stops at a spot where she feels Byron's presence.

"I feel something here.." Serena says, "Byron was here, I sense him and another...a woman. The encounter did not go well for him." Serena's vision here is uncharacteristically vague: whoever Byron is dealing with is powerful enough to hide herself from Serena very well. Serena shudders.

"Well, look, I don't know about your feelings or whatever, but the police won't file a missing persons report until a guy's been gone 24 hours. So until then, I'm going to go through the scene with the actors on the off chance that Byron's just getting crazier & now he's going to start blowing everything off, instead of just half of everything," Alison says, a little smug in her disbelief of Serena's abilities. And since Serena cannot use those abilities to find Byron now when it counts, she won't be making a believer out of Alison today.

"Hey, I'm sorry, I know he's your friend," Alison says apologetically, "You can hang out here for the shoot, or I'll email you if I hear from him at all. I'll call the police from his house tomorrow morning if he doesn't turn up." Serena lets Byron's assistant get back to work & Serena wanders around the grounds forlornly, remembering the dream with Byron, trying not to remember Larna Lock, and not getting anymore feelings about what might have happened to him.
