Portia goes upstairs to do her homework: Moira promises the girl she'll bake her a cake, which she can have when the homework's done. Moira is in the mood for a little cake herself. Maybe nothing will come of this chance meeting with the hotel manager, but maybe something will...and just knowing that people talk about her food at Mercedes' parties is something to celebrate.

In her happiness, Moira thinks of Coby, the good looking surfer she met a while back. She's called a few times, when she gets a spare minute, but he's never home. While the cake is baking, Moira gives him a call again. He isn't home. She hangs up with a sigh. It's not as though she misses him, her days are so busy, she rarely has time to think of him or other people: she's always thinking about the Arthags, or what she can do to further her goal of establishing her name as a great chef & having her own restaurant. But it would be nice to make at least one real friend she could talk to from time to time...
