When Kelly gets back from Palm Springs, she's got a ton of messages on her answering machine: four from her ex-husband, moaning about being alone for the holidays, five from her parents, alternating between pleading & demanding she come home for the holidays, and one from Alison, wishing her a Happy Thanksgiving, the only call she regrets missing. She starts up her job search again right away, the jobs just seem to get crappier every day. One day she passes up the mail room job, hoping for something better the next day, but the next day's job, test subject, makes her wish for an offer as good as the mail room job.

Alison calls & asks if she's free for dinner. Kelly's so sad & lonely she'd go to dinner with the green haired guy right now. Of course she has time for someone as cool as Alison!

Kelly tells Alison about her employment problems. It's getting that bad, & Kelly does NOT want to go back to her parents a failure.

Kelly had heard that there were these cushy celebrity jobs out there that you could only get by knowing (or sleeping with) the right people: when Alison tells her she can have a job walking director Byron Palisades dog everyday, Kelly is overjoyed. Her life is saved, and she owes it all to this red-headed goddess.

While they're having a drink in the rave club, Kelly notices something on Alison's tongue & asks about it. Alison sticks out her tongue & shows Kelly her piercing. Already impressed by just Alison's nose ring, Kelly is awed by the tongue stud. "Did it hurt?" she asks, wondering if she could ever do anything as wild as Alison has. "Sure, it hurt," Alison answers & then she raises her eyebrow & flashes this gorgeous, wicked smile that seems to imply something very naughty, "But it pays off." What does she mean, 'pays off'?

Alison sweeps her up into her strong arms & starts kissing her ears, gently teasing her earlobe with her tongue stud. Kelly was married for a couple of years & then there was Ester & Luz....no one had ever used their tongue on any part of her body the way Alison uses hers just on her ear. Kelly goes weak in Alison's arms & moans, wishing the beautiful redhead would carry her home. "That's how it pays off," Alison says as she puts Kelly down. "Wow," Kelly breathes as she steadies herself. That was the most intense sexual experience she's ever had & all her clothes are on. She can feel herself blushing from head to toe.
