Jackie doesn't sit & cry for very long, after a few minutes alone in the bathroom, she heads back to the studio, ready to tell Bill she'll have a dozen kids by a dozen different fathers and marry none of them if she wants to. But when she gets back into the room, she overhears Bill offering to get Nico into his own band, saying that he has 'rock star' quality & she will just drag him down with her bad reputation. Jackie feels like she's been punched in the stomach, and stands in shock near the door, waiting to hear what Nico has to say to that, whether he'd abandon her that easily.

"Don't even start that crap with me, Bill, I'm not taking off on her to be your pretty boy of the year. Jackie's my family now, if she goes down, I go with her. So get another plan, I am taking her up to the top with me," Nico says, dismissing Arthag with a wave. Jackie nearly gasps out loud. Nico didn't take a second to think about rejecting's Bill's proposal out of hand. He's barely signed his contract, and already he's a rock star, Jackie thinks, all cockiness & attitude. But he did something very atypical for a rock star or even rock star wannabe: he put family before himself & his ambition. Then he turns away from Bill and notices her by the door.

"Are you okay, angel?" he asks her, brushing his hand over her cheek. Jackie is so happy, she feels like she could cry again, "Don't let the record company crap get between us, k?" he says.

"I wouldn't do that," she says as she pulls him in for a kiss. Bill leaves after more talk about photo shoots & publicity crap, and Matt & Stacey leave after they plan a party in Silver Lake, where both their bands can play. Jackie hasn't played a house party in a long time, and it sounds like a whole lot of fun.

When they are finally alone, Nicolas dances with her, again humming a little tune as he sways against her. "This was a pretty big day for me," he sings in her ear, & twirls her around, "I signed a record contract," he continues, twirling her in the other direction, "It's what I came here for, to L.A.," he finishes, dipping her, kissing her as he lifts her up again. Jackie leans in close to him, letting her lips brush against his neck, "I heard what you said to Arthag today," she whispers, "about us being family."

Nico dips her down again, still dancing, and looks her in the eyes, "We're having a child together, Jacklyn, that makes us family," he says in his singsong hum, lifting her & then dipping her in the opposite direction, smiling down at her, "you are stuck with me in your life, because you are family. Whether you marry me, or not." He lifts her back up, nuzzling her neck as he waltzes with her. "Arthag is right, you know, Nico, you could be a huge star on your own," Jackie says quietly. It's very painful, but it is the truth. And Bill believes her star is already on the wane, he's ready to write off her band & take Nico away from her.

"I know that, Jackie," Nico laughs as he twirls her around, then dips her, "I'm a badass guitar player & I'm gorgeous. I'm going to be huge," he murmurs, kissing her neck, laughing as he speaks. "There will be stories about me on the entertainment channel every night," he laughs, and twirls her around. "And those stories aren't going to be about how I'm a jackass loser that deserted my girl & our baby." He's laughing, but he's telling the truth...he knows his own greatness, he's not afraid to be a star, he loves the attention it will bring.

"I love you, Nico," she sighs, wrapping herself around him, getting into the rhythym of his dance. He sways close against her, breathing against her neck, humming in her ear, "Marry me, Jacklyn," he sings. What is she so afraid of? She takes a deep breath, and let's a small "Yes," come out when she exhales...it wasn't so hard...

"We are going to be so happy," Nicolas promises, kissing her with intense passion.
