Bill's publicity machine has been putting out the word of the 'reformed' F Hole, ready to make a comeback onto the scene with their 'sexy new guitarist', as MTV & the entertainment news media keep repeating. Jackie's 'condition' hasn't been revealed to the public yet: Bill wants it kept quiet as long as possible, getting too involved in their personal affairs & even insisting they marry quickly for the sake of her image. "The times they are a-changing, Jackie, and not for the better this time," Bill sighed sadly at her. "As long as you're not 'showing', no telling, okay?" Jackie resents the intrusion, but she's more than willing to not talk to the media about her pregnancy.

Having so recently done an expose on Jackie's 'troubled childhood' and her 'drinking problems', WhooNoo magazine charges ahead of the pack in the media frenzy, getting to be the first to publish pictures of F Hole with Nicolas as their guitarist. They want to do a large photo spread of the band. Celebrated Hollywood photographer Gregg Hills has just signed a contract with WhooNoo to do their celebrity photography. A photo shoot is quickly scheduled and Nico & Jackie head to the photographer's Hollywood Hills studio/home, where they are met by a smiling, stylish receptionist. "Jackie, how nice to meet you!" she gushes.

"And you must be the new guitarist everyone is talking about! How nice to meet you!" She has it down real good, Jackie thinks. "My name is Devora, I'm Gregg's personal assistant. Gregg is expecting you, and we are still waiting for your drummer," she continues, still smiling.

Devora phones her boss to tell him the important celebrities are here.

While she's calling the photographer, Bill Arthag's assistant, Ashleigh, comes in from the studio.

"You must be Nico, the new guitarist everyone is talking about! My name is Ashleigh, I'm Bill's assistant. How nice to meet you!" Ashleigh gushes. Of course, Ashleigh has it down perfectly as well. Worse than the media intrusion, worse than being recognized wherever you go, the most horrible aspect of fame is the phony, fawning people you find yourself surrounded by.

Bill follows Ashleigh out to the reception area. "I've heard about this party you are planning on playing, in Silver Lake. What are you thinking, Jackie? F Hole doesn't play house parties!" Jackie rolls her eyes. "Bill, it's at Matt's house. We can play at our own parties can't we?" she sighs. "No, you can't, Jackie," Bill says, getting that tone in his voice, like he's her father, "Not unless you have celebrity guests & the party is on MTV....." he starts to trail off at the end, looking towards the distance.
