For awhile, it is as though Alison & Kelly already live together. Not only does Alison spend every night at Kelly's place, but they hardly ever leave it. But Kelly has to return to her job before Alison does: Byron is back in town & his dog needs his daily walking & grooming. So Alison spends her days checking out apartments, looking for a place she thinks Kelly would like, & that will accept Kelly's stupid cat. All without mentioning anything to Kelly about it. And she still spends eveynight at Kelly's.

Alison finally finds the perfect apartment for her & Kelly to share. Now, she just needs to get Kelly to agree. So, she stops by Byron's place, only to find Kelly mopping up dog piss in the bathroom. Alison takes a lot of abuse from Byron herself, but it really pisses her off to see Kelly stuck with such a demeaning job.

"Hey, gorgeous," Alison says when Kelly finishes her chore. "I have a suprise for you, when you finish here." Kelly wants to what it is, but Alison just laughs, "As soon as you're done here, I'll show you."

Of course Alison knew when she came here she'd probably run into Byron, who doesn't really care if Alison is 'on duty' or not. He's got a lot of bitching to do about the studio & its lawyers, and he's pissed because the studio wants to cast Johnny Depp as the Sandman. "I'm not remaking Edward Scissorhands, I want someone new, a total unknown," he insists. Yes, Alison thinks as she casts a wry glance over her shoulder at the patiently waiting Kelly, but I'm not the head of casting, why are you telling me? Finally, she's able to get herself & Kelly away from the boss, so she can show her her suprise.

The apartment Alison found is not that far from where she lives now, a gorgeous one bedroom with a huge balcony & a swimming pool. Kelly is a bit confused at first as Alison shows her around the empty apartment. "What's the suprise, Alison? Are you moving?" "I was thinking about it," Alison answers, "My place is so small...So, what do you think? Do you like it?"

Kelly wanders around the empty living room, Alison right behind her. "It's a great place, Alison. When are you planning on moving in?" Alison takes Kelly face in her hands, it's now or never. "Baby, this place isn't for me, it's for you," she says. Kelly looks quizically at her & says, "You want me to live closer to you?". Alison laughs, "I want you to live with me, Kelly, here, in this apartment. What do you think?" And she waits for an answer. And waits it seems for an hour, though of course it is only a few minutes, "I don't know, it all seems kind of sudden," Kelly murmurs as she starts wandering around the apartment some more, checking out the bedroom.

Alison is quite determined she's going to get Kelly to say 'yes' before they leave this place. She's only got a week to rent a truck & haul all of Kelly's stuff over here from Burbank before her days will belong to Byron. "Kelly," she says, taking her girl in her arms, "You are the only girl for me...I swear, I can make you happy, if you give me a chance. I just want us to be together..." Kelly swoons in her arms as Alison draws her down into a fiery kiss. "I guess so," she answers finally, "Sure, Alison, I'll move in with you,": not exactly the passionate assent Alison was hoping for, but it was a yes & that counts for something.
