Gavin has pledged his eternal love for Xtina so often, even after she broke up with him, that she had become secure in her belief that he would always be there for her whether she asked for him or not. Not yet ready to give in & call him herself, and thus admitting defeat, Xtina decides to hang out in their favorite clubs. Surely, he'll turn up one of these nights, and offer to buy her drink. This night, however, the only familiar face is Coby's. And rather than spend the whole night in solitude, she hangs out with him for awhile. But like most guys, he isn't here just to dance, he's looking to meet girls, so it isn't long before he leaves Xtina in pursuit of more likely prey.

Xtina watches Coby get turned down by the gorgeous basketball star, and she feels a little bad for him.

He's foolish enough to try again.

So, since she needs a ride home anyway, Xtina takes pity on him, offering to cook him dinner if he'll give her a ride back to the apartment.

Coby can't help her with her broken heart, but he listens patiently, which is what Xtina needs right now.
