As soon as Coby has gone, Xtina begins to regret her choice. She misses Coby terribly, and sighs as she gazes at the empty chair. "Stop sighing so much, you're being overdramatic," Rainier says, clearly not liking watching her mope over her exboyfriend.

"He was my best friend & we drove him away. Of course I'm sad," Xtina retorts angrily.

What attracted her to Rainier was that he seemed so 'right' for her, everything she would have told you she wanted in a guy. Coby was everything she used to make fun of, her friends thought it strange she was with him. But she had something with Coby that is missing with Rainier, no matter how strange it might have looked on the outside.

That night, Xtina says she has a headache & lets Rainier go out without her, and she calls Coby's number. She's hesitant at first, knowing how important this number is to him, not knowing if he really wants to hear from her now that she's not in his face. But his voice caresses her: he misses her, too. He invites her to a party his neighbors are throwing by the pool. She's curious to see his place, his neighbors, his new life & considers going. She wouldn't dream of taking Rainier: she loves drama, but not that much. But she doesn't want to go alone, so she calls Eleanor, who will only go if she can bring Justin.

Eleanor & Justin bring Xtina to the party in Venice. Xtina spots Coby & heads right for him, leaving her friends behind. She greets him with a small kiss, just friends kind of kiss.

Coby's lips are soft & his kisses taste so good.

And then this blonde turns around & slaps her, shrieking, "Bitch!" The girls eyes are flaming with anger. Xtina rubs her cheek, stinging from the slap, and laughs. "Hey, Hayley, This is Ti," Coby interjects, "she was my neighbor in Hollywood, and she's my best friend, okay?" Coby has only been here a couple of days & already his neighbor has sunk her claws in deep. "Hi, Hayley," Xtina says, smirking. "Coby didn't tell me he had a new girlfriend. This must have happened pretty fast." Xtina enjoys watching the girl's eyes flare up, and she chuckles at her, having fond memories of crashing frat parties with Gavin down at USC and messing with people's heads.
