His uncle Carlos is a mechanic & Ulises learned to fix cars before he could legally drive. He tells Heather he's never seen a transmission he couldn't fix. He notices that this really pleases Heather.

In Merlin's Magix Shop, Ulises buys Heather an overpriced souvenir. Luckily for him, his obsession with crime fighting & his lack kof a social life has allowed Ulises to sock away a lot of Simoleons, so he can afford to impress a girl, if he has a mind to.
