Ulises calls Heather the next day to apologize for standing her up. He tells her he got stuck behind a huge accident that closed the freeway for hours. And to make it up to her he invites her to dinner in Beverly Hills.

He's there early & he has flowers...a perfect start.....

...to a date that goes perfectly. Ulises is amazed that a girl as pretty as Heather is interested in him. She does seem obsessed with her car problems & Ulises hopes that she doesn't blow him off once he fixes her van for her.

Ulises spends the next day filing reports about Boris....desk work is the only part of his job that Ulises truly hates. He'll be happy to be working on Heather's van tomorrow.

He comes by as promised and she tells him her car is out back. He gets right to it.

She invites him into her hot tub to clean up once he's done. He lays the bad news on her right away: he got her transmission tightened up for now, but that old van is falling apart & will require constant maintenance if she wants to keep it. (He can't help but wonder how a single mom like Heather can afford a hot tub, but he doesn't wan't to ask about what she does for a living, since he's not ready to tell her he's a cop yet himself.)
