"Serena..." he breathes her name softly, caressing her neck. "You don't really think you can seduce me into helping you?" Serena asks, pushing his hand away. "Surely, you know me better than that by now...I serve.." "The Goddess, I know," he finishes her statement for her. "You've told me a million times," he sighs. |
They share a deep bond. Serena cannot be angry with him for very long. "I'm sorry Byron, but I cannot help you.." she reiterates as she gives him a friendly hug. |
Of course she can do for him what she would do for anyone else who came through her door. So they consult her crystal ball. As she seeks the not too distant future path of her friend's work, she begins to see why he came to her for help. Much of it is vague, and she has trouble distinguishing what is real from what is performance, but she sees that he will indeed be drawing the interest of creatures from the unearthly realms with this production, that frightening & powerful forces will be manifesting themselves around Byron's endeavors even without her help. She'd like to warn him not to make this film, to tell him of the dangers she's seen, but she knows him too well: it would only make him more keen on doing it if she said anything. "Byron, I see....I see that I must help you with this film," she says, reluctantly, but it is clear to her she cannot leave him unprotected against the forces he will be summoning with his untrained talents. "I won't do what you asked: indeed, I couldn't. But I see that I must be at your side during this production...." Byron nearly leaps from his seat in exultation. "Thank you, Serena!" he shouts. |
She wouldn't let him leave without feeding him first. Byron is often very absentminded about taking care of basic things like meals, and she can tell he hasn't eaten all day. |
"I'll send you the screenplay," he promises as she kisses him goodbye on the cheek. "I promise you, you won't regret this, it will be the best movie I've ever done." Serena has no doubt she will regret this, in the end, and she hopes that her protection will be enough to ward off the dark powers she's seen gathering around him & his movie production.
When he leaves, Serena gets on her knees before the Goddess and prays for her help. |
 Director's commentary: If you have Makin' Magic, you can use the 'visitor controller' from Sim Logical to gain control of Sim visitors to your lot. I used this to control Byron, so in some scenes, the green plumb is over his head. There are also devices there which gives your Sim visitors access to the resident items on the lot. Byron was summoned to the lot via the Sim Logical juniper bush teleporter, so he was able to use all resident only items. And he was not allowed to leave until released: he would have spent the night, but he was dismissed, lol. |
