Serena runs into another priestess, Aedan, who is like herself on a quest for magical ingredients.

Aedan's a weather witch from the 19th century. The market on the edge of dreams attracts people from many times & places.

Serena tells her about her problem, how she needs to attract her man away from a love goddess. Aedan listens but has no advice.

When Aedan leaves her, the man with the potion cart approaches her, "I hear you need a love potion," he says, his voice wheedling & obnoxious.

"I have rubber chickens!" he tells her. They're all mad here, Serena thinks. "I need dragon tears & pixie dust," she says.

He has pixie dust, but no dragon tears. At least that's half of what she needs...Time passes strangely in the in between realms: Serena decides to leave before she gets lost here & finds herself returning to her own realm far too late to do anything. She'll come back for dragon tears tomorrow.
