A few days later, after spending the morning helping a wealthy Beverly Hills socialite try on clothes, Nico catches a breath of oxygen at the spa. His former bandmate, Ben, is there with some skank he picked up in Hollywood.

He runs into Jackie at the spa as well & ends up in the hot tub with her. She complains that her life is completely ruined since her video got on MTV. "It's like I have this gold star hanging above my head: I draw attention wherever I go. I can't even get a slice of pizza without drawing a crowd". Nico wishes his life could be ruined like hers!

Jackie wants to hear him sing, so they go to an upscale karaoke club.

Nico sweeps Jackie off her feet. They drive around the city for awhile in her limo, & then she drops him off, telling him she'll call him soon.

The next morning, Nico finds some dead roses left for him outside his apt.'s pool room. Jackie's weird obsessed fan has found out where he lives, it seems.

Nico thinks he should at least have a video on MTV before he has a nut following him around. He can't afford a security guard after all. Seeing Jackie is not going to be worth this hassle unless she does something for his music career soon. But all he can do is hope she calls....
