Nico thinks Jackie is crazy to take off on her own tour like this, though in the end it could be the kind of publicity stunt that generates more interest in her band....and, Nicolas can't help but think, it could also get his face on TV as well as in the tabloid, and get him out of the Viper Pit altogether, & into a recording studio.

She is really beautiful, Nico realizes suddenly..not that he didn't know it before, but it's like while she's on top of him like this, he actually really sees her for the first time, not the star.

As though that weren't enough, he dreams about making love to Jackie, too.

It's a crazy kind of situation, up in this cabin alone with Jackie for days & days...When they aren't making love, Jackie details the reasons she felt she needed to flee the tour, the pressure, the fighting, her guitarist's heroin problem that has gotten worse now that he has money & a junkie entourage, and Arthag is always trying to get them to do more cover tunes of old California punk tunes, just because they had such a hit with 'California Uber Alles'. Jackie thinks that trivializes her band.

Nico wants to make her feel better, but he's been doing that for a couple of days now. She's not rich enough to keep the world away forever. "You have to deal with it sooner or later, Jackie," he says to her, "You've signed contracts and all that...and we haven't looked at tv since we've been here, but you know the longer you are missing, the bigger the circus will be when they find you."

Jackie isn't quite convinced & another day of marathon sex goes by before they are interrupted by the loud thump of helicopters, followed by a knock on the cabin door. TV cameras, paparazzi, they are all there...Jackie's been found & the world wants to know what she's doing out here & most importantly, who she's doing it with.
