"Can you play any 'F Hole' songs, Nico? I want to call Matt, my drummer, so we can get together for a jam." It can't be all about making love all day. Whatever Jackie decides to do, about her pregnancy, about her relationship, one thing she knows she has to take care of is her band, or Arthag will force her to go solo. Nico smiles confidently at her question. "I can play your songs, Jackie. No problem."

"Of course you can," she smiles back at him. "You're a bad ass guitarist, that's the second thing I noticed about you..."

"Jax..it's about time you called me back," Matt says to her when he hears her voice on the phone. "I'm sorry, Matt," Jackie apologizes, "Things have just been...you know...kind of screwed up..but, do you remember that band, Flesh Wound, that we used to gig with sometimes?" "Uh, yeah," Matt answers, "Hey, Stacey," he calls out to his girlfriend in the background, "Didn't your drummer used to be in Flesh Wound before he got in your band?" Jackie hears Stacey say 'yes' and she continues, "Listen, Matt, I've got their guitarist here..Bill auditioned him yesterday & I thought we should get together for a jam. Do you want to come over?" Jackie can hear Stacey talking in the background, but can't make out what she's saying. "Hey, that sounds great, Jax. We need to get a new guitarist & get our shit back together...but listen, I got some news...check this out, Stacey's pregnant. I'm going to be a Dad, can you freaking believe it?" "Stacey's pregnant?" Jackie gasps, and she unconsciously glances at Nico, and, meeting his eyes, she glances away. "Yeah, " Matt laughs his maniacal chortle, "There should be a law preventing me from reproducing, but there isn't...So listen, me & Stacey were kind of celebrating here, I don't want to do that long ass drive out to Malibu. Why don't you guys come out here? My kit is all set up & waiting to jam...and you've got your limo. And Stacey wants to say 'hi' to you, too."

It is indeed a long ride out to Silver Lake from Malibu, and Jackie & Nico have a couple of hours to sit alone in the back of her limo. They're going to jam & Jackie tries to think just about the music, but she knows what she'll be faced with when she gets there: a happy couple celebrating a pregnancy. It will be a little uncomfortable...to say the least, given that she hasn't decided yet what she wants to do about her own pregnancy. The ride out there would be more uncomfortable, except for the fact that Nico is using the time to practice her songs. His guitar isn't plugged in: the strings make a weird, tinny sound as he plucks them. Sometimes he stops, asks her questions about the notes, asks her to hum the bass line...he's everything you could want in a guitarist...but she can see the pained look in his eyes when he glances up at her, and she knows what's on his mind. He wants to be as happy as Matt is about the prospect of a new baby, but she won't let him. "Listen, Nico," Jackie says, as the limo starts climbing the hills of Silver Lake, approaching Matt's house, "when we get there, you know, we can' look like we're 'together', okay?" She can barely look him in the eyes...but at the same time, she really doesn't want it to look to Matt like she's trying to foist her 'boyfriend' on their band. Nico quietly lays his guitar back in its case, not looking at her, not speaking. "Okay?" she repeats. "I heard you, Jackie," he answers finally, "I just wish..." but before he can finish, the driver is opening the door for them.

"Congratulations," Jackie says as Stacey & Matt come out to meet her & Nico. Stacey is glowing & ebullient, clearly thrilled about her condition, jabbering on about how wonderful it is. "My doctor says I can keep gigging right up to the end..my biggest problem will be finding maternity clothes I can wear on stage," she laughs.

Stacey then turns her attention to Nico, who she knows because of Ty, the drummer of her band, Numb Skull, and formerly the drummer of Nico's band.

Matt manages to pry Stacey off their guests so they can get down to some jamming. But Stacey doesn't go too far away, she hangs around & dances while the remaining members of F Hole try Nico out. Jackie of course doesn't need to be sold on Nico's talent, this is for Matt's benefit.
