Gavin knew eventually she'd come around, it was only a matter of patience & persistance. Tonight it is...she agrees to come home with him.

Xtina presses herself against him passionately. There's something about the way Xtina looks, a bit bedraggled but also glowing with giddiness..he wants to take her picture, & a tells her so.

Xtina bursts into flames of anger & she slaps Gavin in the face. There is silence between them as they stand looking each other in the eyes. Gavin strokes his stinging cheek & bites his lip. "You know, Xtina, you're right after all. We don't belong together. We're over," he says, breaking eye contact with her. It breaks his heart, but he has to do it.

He starts to turn away from her, but she throws herself into his arms, and then throws him onto the bed. They held back their passion so long they make love now with an explosive force. When Gavin falls asleep he's the happiest man in the city, though maybe also the most confused. When he wakes up, he's alone.
