Coby

It gets darker & Hayley continues to hang out. "The one thing I miss about my old apartment, is the weight room," he tells her, making idle chit chat.

"I have a two-for-one membership with the local gym, so I can bring you along if you want," Hayley offers. "That's real sweet, Hayley, you're a doll," he answers with a smile.

She's touching his shoulders again: Coby is starting to think she might even go for a toss tonight.

She presses her breasts hard against him when she hugs him. Coby strokes her back, breathes gently in her ear.

It was that simple. He can tell by the look in her eyes, she wants him.

Easy ride, all the way, Coby thinks.

Coby wonders how soon he should make his move.

"Goodnight, Hayley," he says quietly as he turns to go back to his apartment. But at the same time he realizes he's heading the wrong way, his apartment is in the other direction, he gets a sudden urge to make his move on Hayley right away.

"No way, Coby, you just moved in the building, today," she says, shutting him firmly down. Well, he really shouldn't have expected it to be that easy. Coby goes back inside, & slides into one of Tanner's armchairs, pretending to watch TV while he tries to force an image of Hayley over the mental image of Ti that keeps popping into his brain. As he's remembering their first kiss, that night on the beach in Venice, he feels the pulsing vibration of his cell phone on his thigh. "Yeah," he answers, throat dry. Tanner is sitting across from him, not many other people have this number. "Coby," Ti says, her voice a little shaky, "I hope it's okay for me to call you?" Coby sighs, losing his battle with himself, he's not going to be able to shut her out. "Course it's okay, Ti. 'Sup?" Coby closes his eyes, he can see her, standing the hallway of their old apartment building. He pictures himself coming up behind her, startling her with a good tickle. "Nothing really...it was just so quiet here," she answers. "Hey, there's going to be a party here tomorrow. Maybe you should stop by?" Coby says, not fully considering what he's doing. He just wants to see her again. She pauses, "Can I bring a friend? Eleanor, I mean..." He tells her it's all right, and she says she might drop by. The say goodnight & hang up. Tanner immediately gives him a raised eyebrow stare. "You did NOT just invite that weird chick to the party tomorrow. Dude, what were you thinking? That hot blonde down there wants you, dude. Let the goth chick go already!" Coby wishes it were that easy. "Dude, just go smoke a bowl & leave me alone," Coby sighs.
