Coby follows Tanner out to the living room. It's clearly not a chick on the phone, Tanner has his 'business' voice on. "I'm looking at apartments in Venice," Tanner tells him as the call finishes. "I want to live closer to the beach." Coby gets an idea then, "Dude, I would so love to get out of my building. Having my ex-girlfriend around all the time is a total bummer. And Hollywood sucks to begin with. Do you want to get a place together?"

Tanner smiles, "Dude, I was looking at a place yesterday, right near the beach. Two totally hot babes for neighbors. But it was 2 bedroom, I couldn't use it by myself...do you want to go see it?" Coby laughs, "It has to be better than where I live now, I'll take it sight unseen if you liked it. I just need a change of situation. Pronto." Coby would do anything to help Ti, but his being around just makes her sad. Moving to Venice will be good for both of them, he'll be near the ocean, and she'll be alone with her new guy. Tanner contacts the manager of the Venice building and they are all set to move in on May 1st.

While Coby is making himself some dinner, Ti comes into the kitchen, so he prepares himself to tell her he's leaving next week. But her new guy follows in after her before Coby can say anything, and he grabs Ti in a passionate embrace, kissing her. Coby turns & watches the frozen dinner get microwaved, wishing they would stop. "Rainier!" Ti admonishes him with a giggle. Coby would just about like to die.

If there were any doubts left about his moving to Venice, they are gone now. Coby can't sit through that again and not smack this guy.

Coby runs into Ti as she's heading out. So he tells her he's moving to Venice in May. "You're leaving?" she gasps, and her eyes start watering up. Everything he does or says makes her cry...the sooner he leaves, the better.

He puts an arm around her shoulder. "I'm just going to Venice, Ti, to live near the ocean. You don't need me around here getting in the way. It just makes you sad...I can't stand to see you so sad, Ti, it makes me want to kiss you, and you don't want that, right?" he says and she pours out more tears. Coby reaches into his pocket & pulls out a small piece of paper he'd been carrying around, debating giving it to her. "Here, Ti, this my number, my cell number. You can call me anytime you need me for anything, okay?" he says as he puts the paper in her hand. "Your cell number? The one for.." "Surf and snow?" he finishes with her, "Yeah, Ti, that number. You're that important, okay? I want to be your friend. So, call me sometimes, okay?"

"I will call you Coby," she promises."You've been the best." she says as he hugs him. He wonders if she means it, or if he's just been blown off.
